American International Group (AIG) needed to consolidate hundreds of Oracle instances and PDBs onto a shared Exadata system while retaining the ability to time travel only their Policy Management database for testing. Changing the server clock would affect all applications and void Exadata support, and dedicating separate hardware would defeat consolidation goals, so AIG engaged Solution-Soft and its Time Machine Framework for Oracle to address the challenge.

Solution-Soft implemented Time Machine and the Time Machine Framework for Oracle to allow selected Oracle users to time travel individual databases/PDBs without impacting other instances on the same server. The solution enabled accurate, efficient migration and testing on Exadata and later in Oracle Cloud, resulting in increased test productivity, valuable budget savings, and accelerated application releases.
