Tidepool, a nonprofit organization focused on making diabetes data more accessible and actionable, needed to replatform its environment while maintaining strict regulatory requirements. Working with Solo.io, Tidepool sought a way to reduce technical debt, increase automation, and keep its healthcare platform compliant with HIPAA and FDA quality standards.

Solo.io helped Tidepool implement Gloo API Gateway alongside Kubernetes and Linkerd service mesh to secure and manage traffic across its microservices. The solution enabled mutual TLS with dynamically generated certificates for each service, improved efficiency, and gave Tidepool a scalable foundation to continue innovating and delivering new diabetes care services.
