EquipmentShare, a provider of smart jobsite solutions for construction fleets, needed to modernize its application and API environment as it grew. The company wanted a more consistent developer experience and a way to standardize how APIs were consumed and managed across both internal and external use cases.

EquipmentShare partnered with Solo.io and adopted Gloo API Gateway as part of its move to cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes. Starting with Envoy Proxy and self-hosted Kubernetes, it evolved to Gloo and AWS EKS to simplify operations, improve routing, authentication, and rate limiting flexibility, and support services across on-prem, cloud, and Lambda environments. The result was a more scalable, modern platform that let the team focus on business logic, with measurable impact described as faster innovation and broader adoption across the company rather than a specific numeric metric.
