The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), which serves nearly 3 million students statewide, needed a powerful, scalable, and mobile-responsive website to deliver critical information to a diverse audience. FLDOE required a CMS that non-technical staff could use, granular permission controls, Microsoft SQL compatibility, high performance for heavy traffic, and strict compliance with ADA/WCAG 2.0, Section 508, FERPA and HIPAA—so they partnered with Solodev.
Solodev delivered a dynamic site on the Solodev Web Experience Platform with custom modules, page-level permissioning, Microsoft SQL integration, a custom CDN for speed and security, and built-in ADA/SEO/server health scanning. The new site averages 550,000 hits and 350,000 unique visitors per month, supports up to 100,000 concurrent users, is fully mobile responsive, and enabled FLDOE to maintain regulatory compliance while giving staff the tools to update content quickly.
