Building a Top-Tier Tourism Website for Florida's Hidden Gem

Visit Flagler, the destination management office for Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches, needed to compete with larger Florida destinations by reaching travelers seeking quiet, natural experiences. They required a modern, mobile-responsive website focused on conversions (notably their Visitor’s Guide), easy no-code content management, consolidated events, lodging search and integrations like a beach camera and e-newsletter management. To achieve this, Visit Flagler engaged Solodev, using the Solodev Web Experience Platform and Solodev’s in-house agency DigitalUS for design, development and digital marketing.

Solodev delivered a responsive, image-forward site with easy CMS modules, a consolidated events calendar, JackRabbit lodging search, beach camera integration, eQuest newsletter forms and AWS cloud hosting (EC2, CloudFront, OpsWorks) to auto-scale and support up to 100,000 concurrent users with disaster recovery. Solodev’s DigitalUS team implemented SEO, PPC and retargeting campaigns that produced measurable results: a 61% jump in organic visits, nearly 30% increase in PPC conversions and a 79% boost in AdRoll retargeting conversions, driving higher engagement and more guide downloads.
