Ponsse improves predictive maintenance for 150,000 elevators with Solita

Ponsse, a leading manufacturer of cut-to-length forest machines, faced the challenge of having its data spread across multiple non-communicating systems, making data-driven operations and the development of new services difficult. To optimize their operations and boost service sales, Ponsse turned to the vendor Solita to build a modern cloud-based data platform and integrations.

Solita built the solution on Microsoft Azure with Snowflake as the data warehouse, using MuleSoft for API management. This provided a single source for all data, enabling new services like predictive maintenance and more accurate material forecasting. The results included improved service sales, optimized operations, shorter customer delivery times, and the ability to minimize machine downtime in advance for increased customer machine availability.
