Heart Hospital improves heart failure medication adherence to over 70% with Solita

Heart Hospital, a Finnish hospital network specializing in cardiac care, faced challenges with an outdated SAS-based data warehouse that slowed reporting and development. Their need for modernized data utilization led them to partner with vendor Solita for a strategic transformation.

Solita designed and built a modern Microsoft Azure-based data lake solution named Sydäntietoallas, using their Agile Data Engine tool. The implementation included interactive Tableau dashboards for impact reporting. Results include a technically modern platform, accelerated report development, and measurable improvements in patient care: better achievement of cholesterol targets, over 70% guideline-adherent medication, and reduced hospital readmissions. Heart Hospital received the Impact of the Year 2025 award for this collaboration.
