Fortum, a large global energy company, faced the challenge of expanding design thinking and customer-centric practices across its entire organization to become a more customer-driven company. They partnered with the vendor Solita to create a custom e-learning program, the Design Thinking Academy, to increase employee awareness and skills.
Solita implemented a tailor-made and visually spectacular e-learning system with a space adventure theme to make learning interactive and inspiring. This solution successfully expanded design thinking across Fortum, with an internal survey showing 75% of employees understood what design thinking meant. The academy provided a new, flexible way of learning that helped deepen customer insight throughout the organization and activated employees with its unique approach.
