Pekin Insurance, a regional insurance company, faced a challenge after upgrading its printing infrastructure. Their legacy Xerox Metacode applications were incompatible with new PostScript printers, and they needed an automated way to generate electronic documents for their imaging and online viewing systems instead of a manual print-and-scan process. They turned to Solimar Systems and implemented the Solimar Print/Director solution to handle data stream conversion and output management.

Solimar Systems implemented a solution that converted the legacy Metacode data to PostScript for the new printers while simultaneously generating TIFF and PDF output. This eliminated the manual scanning workflow, shortened print job turnaround times, and provided real dollar savings in supplies and postage. The automated system also integrated with Pekin's ImageRight imaging system, allowing for instant access to documents and eliminating human errors through automatic job routing.
