Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado's largest workers' compensation insurance carrier, faced challenges in its high-volume production printing operations. The company needed to reduce manual tasks, migrate away from pre-printed forms, and implement a more automated and secure PDF-centric workflow. To address these bottlenecks, Pinnacol Assurance partnered with Solimar Systems and implemented its Solimar Print Director Enterprise and Rubika software solutions.

The solution from Solimar Systems automated data stream conversion from PCL to PDF, inserted barcodes for finishing automation, and eliminated the need for pre-printed stock. This resulted in significant annual savings, including a $75,000 reduction in operational labor costs and $40,000 saved by replacing pre-printed forms. The new automated workflow also increased in-house production capacity, allowing Pinnacol to bring previously outsourced work back in-house while improving document security.
