Where Dreams Take Flight—Designing Clean, Energy-Efficient Aircrafts with SOLIDWORKS

JFox Aircraft Co, a Thailand-based startup founded by Jettanakorn Pengsiri, set out to develop the electric JX-200E-RG Sport Thunder to reduce noise, emissions and operating costs. Facing challenges with finding lightweight, long-lasting batteries and the high cost of physical testing, the company integrated SolidWorks software into its design process to enable digital design and simulation of aerodynamics.

Using SolidWorks 3D modeling and CFD Flow Simulation alongside 3D printing and university lab testing, JFox rapidly iterated and validated aerodynamic designs and developed a digital flight simulator for future testing. The SolidWorks-driven, fully integrated workflow reduced development time by more than 60% and produced more precise prototypes, accelerating progress toward a production-ready electric aircraft.
