Vitility Scoops ECRM Award after SOLIDWORKS Debut

Vitility, a Dutch product design firm, developed the Smart Pill Box to help patients remember and manage medication. On their first project using SolidWorks, they faced design-for-manufacture challenges—an initial one-piece concept proved impractical—so they needed faster iterations and a production-friendly design approach.

Using SolidWorks, Vitility quickly modeled the lid, hinge and main container as separate components, speeding development and making the product cheaper, easier and faster to produce. The SolidWorks-led design process slashed development time and helped Vitility win "Most Innovative Product" at the ECRM Awards, earn a spot among the Netherlands’ top 100 most innovative businesses, and advance another 18 products into the pipeline.
