Taylor-Deal Aviation (TDA), LLC, a rapidly growing aviation engineering firm of about 30 engineers, needed to accelerate development of VIP aircraft interior modifications and streamline collaboration with manufacturing partners. To replace ad hoc file/email/FTP processes and meet requirements for ease of use and flexibility, TDA chose SolidWorks—deploying SolidWorks 3D CAD and implementing SolidWorks Enterprise PDM (35 licenses).

SolidWorks implemented Enterprise PDM quickly (installed and connected to TDA’s SQL server in a couple of hours) to provide a secure vault, tighter revision control, automated workflows, and partner access to design data. As a result, SolidWorks Enterprise PDM shortened development cycles, improved document management and search, enabled automated approvals and electronic signatures, and accelerated production of technical publications—allowing TDA to complete more projects and deliver faster.
