Throttling up the development of high-speed powerboats with SolidWorks software

Victory Team – Dubai, a world‑champion Class 1 offshore powerboat racing team, needed to shorten development cycles and optimize hydrodynamics, aerodynamics and weight-to-performance ratios while meeting strict design requirements. To replace its legacy AutoCAD 2D workflow and standardize on a single 3D platform, the team selected SolidWorks (SolidWorks Premium) to improve visualization, collaboration and engineering throughput.

SolidWorks implemented a 3D design and analysis solution—including SolidWorks Simulation and SolidWorks Motion—enabling faster modeling, collision detection, torque/acceleration analysis and better supplier collaboration.
