Sea-lect Plastics Corporation Automating All Facets of Injectionmolded Part Production With Solidworks And Delmiaworks Solutions

Sea-Lect Plastics, a Pacific Northwest injection‑molding supplier, needed to automate all facets of production—including estimating, quoting, order processing, planning, scheduling, tooling, design‑for‑manufacturing, production, inventory and delivery—to boost efficiency, improve quality and better understand job costs. The company had implemented the SolidWorks 3D design‑to‑manufacturing system (and CAMWorks) but required an overarching ERP to fully automate and scale its operations.

By integrating the DELMIAWORKS ERP with its SolidWorks implementation, Sea‑Lect Plastics automated design‑to‑manufacturing workflows and gained real‑time visibility across production. The combined solution raised operational efficiency from 70% to 98.5%, cut reject rates to under 1% (about one‑third of the industry standard), improved profit margins, enabled ISO 9001:2015 certification, and delivered more accurate costing and on‑time delivery.
