Roman Limited, the UK’s leading and most innovative shower manufacturer, needed greater flexibility and agility to meet a market shift toward fashion-driven, customizable bath and shower systems. After finding Autodesk Inventor inadequate for mold development and configuration support, Roman Limited benchmarked alternatives and chose SolidWorks 3D CAD software to move from 2D tools to a fully capable 3D design platform.

Using SolidWorks (with reseller CADConnect support), Roman implemented design tables/configurations, advanced surfacing, integrated mold-design tools and SolidWorks Simulation for analysis. SolidWorks enabled Roman to eliminate prototype mold development, compress design cycles by around 50%, reduce recalls and returns, and launch its high-end Sculptures product line while improving mold accuracy and downstream CNC workflows.
