LettUs Grow - Customer Case Study

LettUs Grow, a Bristol-based startup that designs, builds and sells indoor and vertical farms using patented aeroponic technology, faced the challenge of translating sensitive bio-mechanical requirements into manufacturable, serviceable products while coordinating engineers, biologists and external manufacturers. They adopted SolidWorks (including 3D CAD, PCB and Electrical tools) to create detailed engineering drawings, 3D models and photorealistic renders that support technical design and stakeholder communication.

Using SolidWorks, LettUs Grow modelled their farm as a large electro-mechanical assembly, specified bespoke self-draining aeroponic grow beds for manufacturers, and produced renders that accelerated early customer sales. The vendor’s tools helped the team raise over £1 million since 2017 to move from prototype to commercial product, enabled research-driven optimizations, and supported farms that use 95% less water through recirculation — demonstrating clear commercial and sustainability impact thanks to SolidWorks.
