Inventing Cool, Green, Next-generation Vehicles With Solidworks

BPG, INC, founded to commercialize Benjamin Gulak’s innovative electric vehicles like the UNO and the DTV Shredder, needed to turn early concepts and prototypes into manufacturable, market-ready products. To do this the company selected SolidWorks and deployed SOLIDWORKS Premium software as its 3D design and analysis platform to visualize, simulate, and refine vehicle designs.

Using SolidWorks’ Premium design and simulation tools, BPG condensed years of development, halved design time, and cut prototyping cycles while improving part performance and manufacturability. The SolidWorks solution helped BPG produce its first commercially viable product (the DTV Shredder), optimize high-load parts and suspension, and continue evolution of the UNO into road-ready prototypes.
