Parata Systems LLC, maker of the Parata RDS robotic dispensing system, needed a more capable CAD platform to meet aggressive product development goals: better assembly modeling, stability with large assemblies, and much faster time‑to‑market. After evaluating options, Parata chose SolidWorks 3D design software (with reseller TriMech support) to replace its previous CAD tools and support rapid development.

Using SolidWorks’ assembly, kinematics and mold‑design tools, Parata developed the ~1,200‑component Parata RDS in just one year, moved 14 injection‑molded parts from prototype to qualified tooling in four months, and improved vendor data compatibility. SolidWorks enabled faster time‑to‑market, better handling of large assemblies and a market‑leading, small‑footprint dispenser; Parata now runs 37 seats of SolidWorks Professional and has added SolidWorks PDM as its business scaled.
