Innovating an Adjustable Stand-up Desk With Solidworks Premium

Kinder Design Inc., a Toronto-area product development and engineering consultancy led by Tim Chung, faced the challenge of moving from tedious 2D workflows to a faster, automated 3D design process to support client work and develop its own Lift Top adjustable desktop table. To enable rapid iteration, automated BOMs, and a lightweight, highly adjustable product, the firm adopted SOLIDWORKS Premium from SolidWorks.

Using SOLIDWORKS Premium, Kinder Design created a patent-pending Lift Top with 19 height settings, used integrated simulation to optimize strength and weight, and dramatically reduced physical testing.
