Robokopter, a Warsaw-based UAV designer and manufacturer, faced the challenge of creating a six-propeller surveying platform: a lightweight, rigid, and compact load-bearing frame able to carry various camera payloads. To meet weight, rigidity and size targets they adopted SolidWorks, using SolidWorks Premium and SolidWorks Simulation to develop and validate designs.
