JUGS Sports, a leading maker of baseball- and softball-pitching machines and other sports-practice equipment, faced rising competition and needed to revitalize its product development to expand its product line—especially into the youth recreational market. The company selected SolidWorks (SolidWorks Professional 3D design software) to replace earlier tools and better capture both the artistic and technical aspects of new designs.

Using SolidWorks, JUGS Sports implemented virtual design iterations, advanced visualization and PhotoView 360 renderings, and faster simulation and interference checks. The SolidWorks solution cut development cycles and design-to-prototype time by 50%, enabled development of 18 new products (three already launched), increased innovation, and improved communication with manufacturing partners through photorealistic images and animations.
