How SOLIDWORKS Enabled Mitt Wearables

Mitt Wearables is a startup that designs affordable, sleeve-style prosthetic limbs with interchangeable, task-specific attachments. Their challenge was rapidly designing and producing a large variety of snap-in tools while keeping costs and development time low; to tackle this they used SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD and joined the SOLIDWORKS Entrepreneur Program for software access and technical support.

SOLIDWORKS let Mitt Wearables take core designs straight from CAD to 3D print—often inside the hour—producing working prototypes in minutes and dramatically shortening design cycles. With SOLIDWORKS’ tools and program support, the team reduced time and labour, increased daily iteration capacity, and accelerated delivery of comfortable, affordable prosthetics.
