Hardware Startup Myomo Partners with SOLIDWORKS for Success

Myomo, a hardware startup that builds a myoelectric orthosis, needed to turn its complex design, engineering and manufacturing data into compelling demonstrations and marketing assets while protecting proprietary IP. SolidWorks partnered with Myomo—using the SOLIDWORKS portfolio and the SOLIDWORKS 2017 Launch dataset—to showcase the device and support Myomo’s design, commercialization and outreach efforts.

SolidWorks’ Product Introduction Team created a sanitized Myomo dataset, produced videos, images and live demos, and used the story in a case study and at the SOLIDWORKS 2017 Launch, while sharing materials back with Myomo’s design and marketing teams. The campaign trained over 2,000 application engineers in the SolidWorks reseller channel on 2017 functionality and exposed the Myomo story to more than 50,000 SOLIDWORKS users worldwide, increasing visibility and demonstrating end-to-end workflows.
