Case Study: Valley Dairy Farm Automation triples product offering and speeds sheet‑metal design with SOLIDWORKS

A SolidWorks Case Study

Growing Dairy Farm Automation Equipment Business With Solidworks

Valley Dairy Farm Automation, through its Lyntech subsidiary, is a manufacturer of dairy farm automation equipment that needed to rapidly grow and fabricate innovative, customized systems. Frustrated by 2D CAD limitations—especially costly sheet‑metal design errors and slow iteration—the company turned to SolidWorks and its 3D design platform to scale product development and reduce mistakes.

By implementing SolidWorks' SOLIDWORKS Premium mechanical and SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D tools, Valley Dairy Farm Automation leveraged advanced sheet‑metal, weldment and configuration capabilities to speed design and shorten fabrication cycles. The move tripled the company’s annual product output (to more than 100 automation products), helped establish the Lyntech manufacturing subsidiary, enabled documentation of five to six sheet‑metal parts per hour (output equivalent to more than three of a fabricator’s designers), and significantly reduced design errors.
