Preview of the USSC Group Case Study

Grabbing Share of First Responder Seating Markets with SOLIDWORKS Solutions

USSC Group, a global seating manufacturer headquartered in Exton, PA, needed to secure a position in the firefighting and ambulance specialty seating markets by rapidly delivering innovative, configurable product families. To meet that challenge the company standardized on SolidWorks, acquiring SOLIDWORKS Professional and SOLIDWORKS Premium design tools, SOLIDWORKS Simulation Premium, SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM (EPDM), and SOLIDWORKS Composer.

Using SolidWorks solutions, USSC launched the Valor firefighter seat and a complete configurable line for first responders, quickly entering and growing in firefighting and ambulance markets. The SolidWorks suite sped development and design reuse, tightened revision control with EPDM, reduced prototypes and scrap/rework, and improved overall product quality—enabling USSC to cost‑effectively expand product lines and capture market share.
