A SolidWorks Case Study
Garrett Brown Designs, a Denver-based custom furniture and interiors studio inspired by natural topography, needed a way to efficiently develop complex, highly detailed pieces and reliably communicate those designs to fabricators. To meet those needs they adopted SolidWorks for parametric 3D design, assemblies and shop drawings.
Using SolidWorks, the team creates detailed assemblies, photorealistic renders and production-ready shop drawings that allow quick design changes (for example, changing a 1" square tube to a 2" without redrawing) and seamless file exchange with vendors. As a result, Garrett Brown Designs has sped up iteration, improved final aesthetics and collaboration with manufacturers, and grown its business presence (their Instagram showcases over 5,400 followers); SolidWorks has directly enabled clearer communication and faster project delivery.
