Commercializing an Automated Home Towel Dispenser With Solidworks Solutions

Bressler Group, a Philadelphia-based product development consultancy with a long track record of patents and award-winning designs, faced the challenge of accelerating transitions from industrial design to engineering and production while improving product performance and reducing costs. To meet these goals the firm adopted SolidWorks solutions—implementing SolidWorks Professional for CAD and SolidWorks Simulation Professional and Premium for analysis and optimization.

Using SolidWorks, Bressler Group enabled industrial designers to create CAD-ready concept models that engineers could immediately use, cutting the back-and-forth between design and engineering by about 30%. SolidWorks-driven simulation and design-table–based optimization reduced prototyping iterations, lowered part counts and production costs, and helped deliver faster time-to-market (for example, an automated home towel dispenser developed with SolidWorks kinematics and simulation). SolidWorks was central to achieving these measurable productivity and cost improvements.
