Burton Snowboards - Customer Case Study

Burton Snowboards, a leader in snowboard design and manufacturing, needed a more usable and higher-performance CAD system to speed design and improve part quality. After evaluating options and running surfacing and regeneration tests, Burton chose SolidWorks (using SolidWorks Standard and SolidWorks Simulation) to replace their previous Pro/ENGINEER seats for its faster modeling, greater flexibility, and ease of learning for new users.

SolidWorks was implemented across Burton’s design group, enabling quicker onboarding and more efficient modeling workflows; the migration delivered measurable benefits: a 20% reduction in CAD development time, accelerated new-user proficiency, improved part quality and refinement, and added integrated analysis capabilities—demonstrating SolidWorks’ impact on Burton’s product development.
