To address this, Prent moved from Unigraphics to the SolidWorks design environment, adopting SolidWorks design, simulation, electrical, and PDM tools to better integrate with customers and partners and reduce training and process friction.

Using SolidWorks Standard/Professional/Premium, SolidWorks Electrical 3D, SolidWorks Simulation Professional/Premium and SolidWorks PDM Professional, Prent automated workflows, tightened revision controls, and created a single “version of the truth” replicated across global sites. The SolidWorks implementation made manufacturing largely paperless, shortened lead‑times to as little as two weeks, doubled throughput to support higher sales, reduced scrap and rework, and measurably improved design accuracy and product quality.
