A SolidWorks Case Study
Brudden Equipment Ltd, a Brazil-based manufacturer of agricultural machinery, kayaks and the Movement® line of fitness equipment, needed to expand its product offerings while streamlining development, reducing reliance on physical prototypes, and shortening time-to-market. After evaluating alternatives, the company selected SolidWorks and deployed a suite of solutions—including SolidWorks Standard, Professional, Premium, SolidWorks Simulation Premium and SolidWorks Composer—to introduce 3D design across the organization.
Using SolidWorks, Brudden built libraries of standardized parts and parametric assemblies, improved sheet‑metal and surfacing workflows, integrated simulation earlier in design, and produced technical documentation in-house. The results: time-to-market fell 25–30% (from 19–24 months to 13–18 months), annual new‑product output rose from five to 19, prototyping costs dropped about 40% (fewer physical prototypes), product quality and confidence improved, and the Movement line won international design awards.
