ZimiCharge launches a roaming-ready EV charging ecosystem in 7 months with Solidstudio

ZimiCharge, an EV charging infrastructure provider in South Africa, needed to build a complete digital ecosystem to manage its network and serve drivers simultaneously in a new market. They partnered with Solidstudio to create a customized Charge Point Operator (CPO) platform and an eMobility Service Provider (eMSP) application that was interoperable with other networks from the outset.

Solidstudio implemented its eMobility products, delivering a branded app for iOS and Android and a management platform, both connected via the OCPI 2.2 open standard. This ensured the network was ready for roaming on day one. The entire solution, which included features for station discovery, payment, and management, was successfully delivered in just seven months.
