Hubject bridges OCPI and OICP with Solidstudio in 5 months

Hubject, an operator of one of the largest eRoaming networks for electric vehicles, faced a challenge connecting charge point operators who used the OCPI protocol to its own OICP-based platform. The need for these operators to implement a second protocol was a major barrier to growth. Hubject engaged the vendor, Solidstudio, to build an adapter to solve this integration problem.

Solidstudio developed a multi-tenant OCPI to OICP adapter using Java and AWS. This solution allowed operators to connect to Hubject's platform using their existing OCPI implementations, eliminating the need for a costly rebuild. The project was delivered from kick-off to production in just five months, successfully bridging the two protocols and enabling seamless access to the extensive Hubject ecosystem for multiple operators.
