The customer, a charge point operator in the German market, needed to expand its reach by connecting to the Hubject HBS platform using the OICP 2.3 protocol, which its internal system did not support. Shortly after, it also required an OCPI integration for direct partner connections. Solidstudio was engaged to build an adapter to solve this dual-protocol challenge.

Solidstudio implemented a solution by building an OICP 2.3 adapter from scratch and integrating its own OCPI 2.2 gateway. This allowed the client to begin exchanging data with Hubject and, within weeks, to complete its first OCPI handshake with partners. The result was a single integration effort providing two roaming paths, significantly expanding the client's market reach without the need for separate, disconnected systems.
