Water Supply and Sanitation, one of the UK’s regulated utility sectors, faced challenges with fragmented systems, mistrusted data, and spreadsheet-based workarounds that made regulatory reporting and governance difficult. To improve oversight and compliance, the organization worked with Solidatus and its data mapping platform to better understand how data moved across applications, processes, people, and regulations.

Using Solidatus, the company built an end-to-end data and compliance model, supplemented with ownership and responsibility information, to create a single view of truth for critical regulatory reports. This improved visibility into gaps, bottlenecks, data quality, and governance, and the client is now using the API to automate model creation and explore SDLC integration. Solidatus also helped position the organization for broader sector collaboration through the UK water data-sharing initiative, Datawell.
