Ortecha, a data consultancy with UK and US offices, supported a US-based Global Systemically Important Bank facing a two-year, phased data policy compliance program focused on BCBS 239. The bank needed a formal, evidence-based way to align its Data Management Policy & Standards to data management capabilities and track compliance across enterprise and business unit levels, using Solidatus and the EDM Council DCAM® framework.

Ortecha used Solidatus’ Knowledge Modelling tool to map DCAM®, BCBS 239, and the bank’s policy and standards into a multi-layered model that visualized capability gaps and embedded uplift plans. The result was a clear, audit-ready compliance roadmap for 10 business units and about 80 sub-units, with evidence-based measurement, artifact review, and transparent progress tracking to support internal and external auditors.
