A Solidatus Case Study
LGPD needed a way to manage compliance with Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, a complex and time-consuming data privacy law affecting all organisations handling Brazilian individuals’ personal data. The challenge was to create a solution that was both strategic and operational, enabling the organisation to understand where personal data lives, how it is used, and how it maps to regulatory requirements. Solidatus, through its Data Privacy Module, was used to support this effort.
Solidatus provided a digitised version of LGPD that linked regulatory clauses to processes, people, and data, while also enabling data discovery, cataloguing, visualisation, lineage analysis, and tracking of regulatory change. This helped LGPD assess privacy impact, demonstrate compliance, and support rights such as access, erasure, and portability. The result was a more transparent compliance process completed up to 60% faster, with lower costs, reduced risk, and better data governance across the organisation.
