Collibra needed a faster, more practical way to progress through the difficult “Define” stage of its data governance program, where building a business term glossary of critical data elements (CDEs) can take years in large organizations and slow or stall implementation. To address this, Collibra worked with Solidatus and its Solidatus|Collibra integration to accelerate governance delivery while reducing complexity, cost, and implementation risk.

Solidatus provided a federated workflow to generate, analyse, socialise, and govern CDEs, then transfer pre-approved definitions into Collibra for stewardship and ownership management. The solution enabled bi-directional data transfer, improved alignment across the organization, and supported use cases such as process documentation, physical lineage, reference data cleansing, model alignment, and security. The case study says Solidatus helped significantly reduce implementation and running costs, mitigate transformational and operational risk, and achieve greater organizational alignment, though it does not provide specific numeric metrics.
