Using Teamcenter, Interwell creates a highly efficient system to manage CAD data

Interwell, a Norway‑based provider of downhole tools and services for enhanced hydrocarbon recovery, faced growing bottlenecks as increasing volumes of CAD models and custom drawings overwhelmed its document workflows and challenged ISO compliance, traceability and IT security. The company had long used Solid Edge for CAD and chose to adopt Siemens’ Teamcenter PDM (tightly integrated with Solid Edge) to address these data‑management and cross‑office communication issues.

Using Teamcenter together with Solid Edge — implemented with support from Siemens’ local affiliate — Interwell established a robust PDM system that streamlined document flow, improved traceability and tightened IT security, enabling seamless communication between international offices. The Solid Edge/Teamcenter solution proved productive soon after deployment and is being rolled out across departments, removing prior bottlenecks and enabling faster, more compliant product development.
