Eagle Seals and Systems India Ltd. (ESSIL), a leading Indian manufacturer of mechanical seals, needed to speed up CNC programming and improve machining quality across a mix of 3‑, 4‑ and 5‑axis mill‑turn machines after 15 years of manual programming. During their CAM search they evaluated multiple packages and chose Siemens' CAM Express for its interoperability with their Solid Edge CAD system and the reseller support available for post‑processor development.

Implemented with support from Gnosis InfoTech, CAM Express integrated with Solid Edge to provide automated post‑processing for ESSIL’s multi‑function machines (including a Mazak Integrex 5‑axis turn/mill), cutting programming time and costs and improving surface finish and machining quality. Solid Edge interoperability enabled reliable CAD‑to‑CAM workflows and eliminated much of the manual coding previously required, accelerating production and reducing errors.
