Doroti Pack, a Hungarian manufacturer of premium DorPack packaging machines for the food and medical sectors, faced growing demand after Hungary’s EU accession and found its legacy 2D CAD tools inadequate for designing new, complex machines. To meet customer requirements and improve product quality, Doroti Pack adopted the 3D CAD solution Solid Edge to move from 2D drafting to full 3D development.

Using Solid Edge, Doroti Pack produced highly detailed 3D models, visualized connections and mountings more clearly, and used assembly checks to catch interferences before manufacturing—resulting in faster, more cost‑effective machine development and reduced errors, scrap and rework. Solid Edge’s modelling and synchronous editing capabilities, supported by local training, enabled rapid design of new machines and greater ability to handle complex products.
