Compuplast, a Czech specialist in plastic profile extrusion and simulation services, needed to speed up model creation, edit models received in different formats, and move from 2D to 3D design. They turned to Solid Edge, adopting Solid Edge with synchronous technology and the Insight design data management solution to handle mixed-format data and improve digital best practices.

Using Solid Edge’s synchronous modeling and Insight data management, Compuplast accelerated model creation and made subcontractor model modifications far quicker, cutting a process that took a week down to two–three days. Solid Edge also enabled rapid reuse of prior-order data, reduced development cost and time, and substantially fewer prototypes were deployed at customer sites.
