Macchine Trasformazione Carta (MTC), an Italian manufacturer of tissue-paper machinery, faced the challenge of designing extremely complex, highly customized machines—some assemblies exceed 18,000 components—while simplifying installation, training and ongoing support. To meet these demands the company selected the Solid Edge 3D CAD software from Siemens Digital Industries Software to replace two legacy 2D systems and provide a high-performance design platform.

Using Solid Edge, MTC implemented ten licenses (eight in full-time use), reduced onboarding to two days of training, and streamlined vendor support and installations.
