Intertraco, an Italian specialist in pressurized fluid transport components, needed to move beyond 2D drafting to shorten cycle times, manage thousands of drawings as product families, and meet OEM demands for 3D models to remain competitive against larger brands. To achieve this, Intertraco evaluated PLM solutions and selected Solid Edge, the hybrid 2D/3D CAD package from Siemens Digital Industries Software, as the cornerstone of its design and data-management upgrade.

Intertraco implemented Solid Edge across its design teams to model and modify its product range, redesign parent parts as 3D blocks, and accelerate editing workflows. The Solid Edge deployment produced significantly faster editing and shorter development cycles, enabled Intertraco to supply weekly 3D models to OEM customers, and delivered a clear sales advantage over suppliers that do not offer 3D deliverables.
