NGCT Cleansys, a Pune-based designer and manufacturer of aqueous and solvent-based industrial cleaning and degreasing systems, faced challenges moving from 2D AutoCAD workflows to a more efficient 3D process. The company needed to accelerate time-to-market, eliminate frequent design errors and costly rework, and improve revision tracking and reuse of vendor designs. To address these needs, NGCT Cleansys adopted Solid Edge (Solid Edge software) from Siemens Digital Industries Software.

Using Solid Edge’s 3D CAD and synchronous technology, NGCT Cleansys streamlined design and production, automated revision release/tracking, and enabled vendors to use uniquely numbered drawings directly. As a result, Solid Edge helped reduce component rejection rates from 20% to 10%, cut costs by 10%, and increase productivity by 10%, while significantly lowering rework and speeding delivery.
