German company takes advantage of the continuous advancements in the software’s functionality

Hecht Technologie, a German specialist in turnkey bulk material handling plants, faced the challenge of designing highly customized, multi-level systems for widely varying dry bulk materials while protecting people, product and environment. To move beyond legacy 2D workflows and handle detailed engineering down to the last screw, Hecht Technologie adopted Solid Edge for 3D-capable design and product development.

Hecht upgraded to Solid Edge from Siemens Digital Industries Software and has relied on it since 1998 for all design tasks; the software’s intuitive interface, strong 2D/3D tools and seamless import of legacy drawings sped up workflows and reduced repetitive effort. Solid Edge is now deployed across the company (14 workstation licenses plus ten floating seats), enabling faster, simpler design cycles, broader use of advanced Solid Edge functions and a planned roll‑out to every workstation.
