Enovates cuts prototyping by 80% with Solid Edge

eNovates, a technology company developing electric vehicle chargers, faced challenges in its product development process due to disparate software systems that created information silos. This hampered interdisciplinary collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and electronic design teams, leading to inefficiencies, errors, and delays in communicating with contract manufacturers. To overcome these issues and meet rapidly changing market requirements, eNovates turned to the vendor Solid Edge.

The solution implemented by Solid Edge, through its partner ADOPT id PLM, was an integrated software toolset including Solid Edge for mechanical and electrical design and Siemens EDA PADS for PCB design. This provided eNovates with bidirectional data flow and associativity across all engineering disciplines. As a result, Solid Edge helped eNovates streamline design iterations, reduce errors, and prepare thorough and accurate manufacturing documentation. This integration led to an 80 percent reduction in physical mockups and prototypes.
