EIGSA reduces engineering development time by 60 percent with Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions

Equipos Industriales del Golfo S.A. (EIGSA), a Mexican supplier of pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other process equipment for the energy sector, needed to cut design, procurement and manufacturing cycle times, reduce production errors, and improve customer response. To modernize its engineering workflow EIGSA adopted Solid Edge (later adding NX and NX Nastran from Siemens Digital Industries Software) to bring 3D design, analysis and scalable PLM capabilities into its processes.

Using Solid Edge together with Siemens’ NX/NX Nastran and training support, EIGSA scaled from one Solid Edge license to 14, implemented weld mapping, 3D scanning and FEA simulation, and formalized continuous-improvement practices. The results: a 60% reduction in engineering development time, a 20% improvement in customer/finished-product delivery times, a 5–10% increase in profit, reduced prototyping and weight savings, and improved part quality and staff expertise.
