Chinese OEM deploys Siemens solutions to respond to customers

Three-In-One Enterprises, a New Taipei City–based OEM and designer of hand tools and industrial/medical endoscopes, faced a shift from traditional 2D workflows to diversified 3D product development while needing to make immediate design changes for international customers. To address long revision cycles, outsourcing costs and time-zone delays, the company adopted Siemens’ Solid Edge software suite (including Solid Edge Foundation, Classic and Premium) to modernize its design process.

Using Solid Edge across mechanical and electronic design teams — alongside Solid Edge Design workflows and KeyShot rendering for customer reviews — Three-In-One Enterprises established a 3D development process, BOM database and material-analysis files and trained business reps to handle simple revisions directly. Solid Edge helped the company cut drawing revision and prototyping time by about 50 percent, reduce outsourcing costs, improve error detection and accelerate responsiveness to customers in North America and Europe.
