Back Cove Yachts, a boat designer and manufacturer, needed to rapidly incorporate feedback from its worldwide dealer network into its designs. This customer-driven process required frequent and sometimes minute design changes, which was a challenge using their previous history-based modeling approach. They addressed this challenge by using synchronous technology in Siemens Solid Edge software.

The solution implemented with Solid Edge allowed designers to edit models directly without needing to recall the model's history, drastically speeding up the revision process. This enabled Back Cove Yachts to efficiently fine-tune designs and find a happy medium based on dealer input, achieving an unprecedented level of design flexibility.
